Newspapers / Magazines: The unique architecture of the resort hotel in the heart of Da Nang’s beachfront.
Located on Morrison Street, a central axis of Da Nang’s coastal city, Saha Casa Boutique is a boutique hotel designed by Ho Khue Architects with the ambition of creating a distinctive lodging experience that emphasizes emotion, sensory perception, and harmony with nature.
The project stands out through its organic architectural language, inspired by coastal caves where light and shadow continuously interact. Soft curves, rounded arches, and the interplay of solid and void create fluid spaces and a dynamic visual journey, turning the building into a place of exploration rather than merely accommodation.
A key aspect of the project is the use of local, traditional materials, particularly raw terrazzo granite for the building envelope. This material not only provides a natural, tactile aesthetic but also helps regulate light and humidity, allowing the façade to change subtly throughout the day. A large central atrium on the ground floor, featuring a fish pond and native greenery, acts as the living core of the building, while vertical gardens bring light and ventilation deep into the interior.
The most striking feature is the cantilevered glass rooftop pool, extending up to six meters beyond the façade. Made with transparent acrylic, the pool creates a dramatic “floating” sensation and offers panoramic views of the city and the sea, delivering a memorable and unique swimming experience.
Overall, Saha Casa Boutique proposes a new approach to resort architecture in Da Nang—one that prioritizes authentic emotions, sensory richness, respect for nature, and meaningful spatial experiences, contributing a refined and artistic landmark to the city’s urban landscape.
